Over the last week or so we’ve been busy setting up the next instalment of Vintage Emporium and this time around the retailers in store will be 20th Century Vintage and Tumbleweed on Third.

The new store opens Wednesday 3rd October 2012 at 10am, that’s today, and you can find us on the bustling little cafe strip at 216 Whatley Crescent in Maylands just up from the corner of 9th Avenue.

It definitely needed a bit of work, but after a bit of paint, time and effort we’re really pleased with how well the shop looks.

Check out the before and after shots. It’ll give you a bit of an idea about how a bit of paint has transformed it.

For all the locals in the area I’m sure you’d recognise this old building as it housed a great secondhand shop called Ivy Forado for over 13 years.

I’ve got lots of new old finds ready for our opening today, including  a great range of retro, mid century modern and vintage collectables, interiors, kitchenalia, ceramics glassware, accessories etc. etc… So I hope you can drop in and say hi and maybe find yourself a treasure or two.

5 Day Vintage Pop Up Shop

20th Century Vintage is very excited to announce their appearance at The Pop Up Shop along with other vintage sellers – Pack Rat Vintage Goods, Pink Flannel & Material Girl.

The Pop Up Shop is in the bustling hub of the revamped Maylands area at 200B Whatley Crescent, Maylands. So lots of other stores to check out as well as grabing a coffee at one of the many cafes on the strip.

We’ll only be there for a limited time of 5 days from Wednesday 30th November through to Sunday 4th December 2011 and open for business from 9.00am to 5.00pm each day.

We’ll have a great selection of retro, mid-century modern and vintage wares for you and your home – furniture, glassware, ceramics, collectables, home decor, kitchenware, art, objet d’art, kitsch, ephemera, textiles, clothing, handbags, fashion accessories, jewellery, upstyled and regenerated vintage fabric and much more.

This is an event not to be missed!!

20th Century Vintage at the Antique & Collector’s Fair

20th Century Vintage will once again be a stallholder at WA’s biggest and best Antique & Collector’s Fair at the Claremont Showgrounds, Graylands Road, Claremont.

The Fair is open between 9.30am and 4.30pm each day from Friday 18th November 2011 to Sunday 20th November 2011.

As always, I will have a great variety of my vintage and retro wares, including a great range of mid century modern pieces from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. These will include a variety of glassware, ceramics, homewares, art, textiles, jewellery, scarves and handbags.

20th Century Vintage at We Heart Vintage Market

Mt Lawley is a great vibrant area and on the first Saturday of each month it comes even more alive with the We Heart Vintage Monthly Market.

The market takes place at the very well known hang out of The Flying Scotsman, in the back bar called the Velvet Lounge. Whilst the Velvet Lounge gets filled with a fantastic range of vintage clothing sellers, you’ll find 20th Century Vintage outside under the verandah.

Miss Johnson’s Vintage & Handmade Market

20th Century Vintage will be appearing in the real world at Miss Johnson’s Vintage & Handmade Market on Friday 28th October from 6.00 to 9.00pm and Saturday 29th October from 9.30am to 4.00pm.

This is a market which is only held twice a year in the great setting of the Guildford townsite and the Guildford Hall venue is a beautiful old building which adds to the whole vintage theme of the market.

20th Century Vintage will be there with a great new collection of retro, mid-century modern & vintage wares from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s. The collection will include kitchenware, glassware, ceramics, barware, homewares, textiles, jewellery, handbags and fashion accessories.

Hope to see you there! Entry fee is $5.

Don’t forget you’ll also be able to see some other great vintage sellers including, Vintage Spinster, Pack Rat Vintage Goods and Tumbleweed on Third.

Miss Johnson’s Vintage & Handmade Market

Miss Johnson’s Vintage & Handmade Market comes around twice a year usually in June & October, and I’ve had the pleasure of being involved over the last 3 events. The Guildford Town Hall has a great feel to it and the event always has loads of visitors. One of the delights of course is getting to meet the other sellers who you get to know and chat to over the period of the market days.

A couple of those other sellers who you may want to check out are Vintage Spinster and Pack Rat Vintage Goods

Had a great time, with lots of happy customers with their new old purchases….
